SAFFERS - Duo
SANDY and PAUL have known each other for many years. Over time they have each played in a number of different bands, performing in many venues in Southern Africa and other countries around the world.
Now both living in Queensland, Australia, (Brisbane and Gold Coast), they met up again and decided to put a duo together – SAFFERS Duo was formed.
SAFFERS Duo have a repertoire that spans from the ’60s through to some current hits as well as lots of Ozzie favourites. They play a number of solo and dual guitar feature songs, using both acoustic and electric guitars, as well as a guitar synthesiser to add a variety of instrument sounds to the mix.
Both Sandy and Paul have good lead vocal voices and they each sing an equal number of songs in their vast repertoire, while the other adds superb backing vocals and harmonies when required.
SAFFERS Duo can provide live music and entertainment for pubs, clubs, restaurants, parties, company functions, weddings etc.

SANDY // guitar + vocals
Sandy is an experienced Lead Guitarist, Singer, Songwriter and Sound Engineer (Studio and Live) originally from Port Elizabeth, South Africa. He relocated to the scenically beautiful Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia in February 2020.
Sandy has performed, backed, recorded and toured with many successful bands in South Africa including Andrew Young, Centrestage Allstar Band, Little Sister, Clout, Tank and many others.
Clout in particular enjoyed international success, selling more than 12 million records worldwide. Their hit single ‘Substitute‘ reached number 2 on the UK Charts and number 1 in Ireland, Germany, France, Holland, Switzerland and New Zealand. The Band also toured and performed live extensively in Europe.
PAUL // guitar + vocals
Paul has gigged in bands since his high school days growing up in Johannesburg, South Africa. He now resides in Brisbane having emigrated in 2002.
Paul has worked and performed in bands, duos and as a solo musician/entertainer in venues around Southern Africa (Wizard Show Band + GAP), New Zealand (Flagfall Duo) and Australia.
Paul was a founding member of the now very popular Brisbane based Madness tribute band Baggy Trousers. During the four years Paul was with Baggy Trousers they performed their show in some of Brisbane’s top venues including The Triffid, The Zoo and the Brisbane Arts Theatre.
Paul has also worked with other Queensland based bands performing at venues in Bundaberg, Hervey Bay and Toowoomba to name but a few.
Paul is now thoroughly enjoying performing with Sandy and being part of the SAFFERS Entertainment Duo.
